ADComms celebrates renewal of principal contractor status for Network Rail

Leading telecoms specialist ADComms has successfully passed the Achilles RISQS Audit, meaning the company has secured Principal Contractor status to Network Rail for a further three years. ADComms is one of only 98 companies to hold this licence.

ADComms was audited in regards to its management systems, safety and environmental protection arrangements and was subject to a number of site visits and performance measurement activities. Additionally, ADComms had its delivery process on site monitored and a stringent risk review to check its operations were satisfactory and worthy of Principal Contractor status.

Currently, ADComms has a total of 278 product and services codes with Network Rail and is permitted to work across areas ranging from service, design, construction, testing and commissioning, removal and disposal, maintenance and refurbishment. Over the past four years, ADComms has celebrated the addition of new codes which have allowed the company to work in rail infrastructural areas including tunnels and stations, as well as supplying CCTV, UPS, wireless solutions, communication masts and concrete structures to its already impressive portfolio.

The continued recognition is testament to the company’s ongoing efforts to maintain high standards both operationally, and in regards to safety, at a level designed to serve the UK’s vast rail infrastructure.

In order to meet the strict criteria for becoming a Principal Contractor, ADComms was audited in regards to its management systems, safety and environmental protection arrangements and was subject to a number of site visits, which included the firm’s factory integration facility, and performance measurement activities. Additionally, ADComms had its delivery process on site monitored and a stringent risk review to check its operations were satisfactory and worthy of Principal Contractor status.
