Date: 14 December 2011

Core Communication Services Ltd has purchased the Transportation division of the ADComms UK business for an undisclosed sum.

The new company, ADComms (www.alandickcomms.com), will continue to operate from its purpose-built integration and logistics centre in Scunthorpe, and will bring together a new management team with over [50] years of RF and fixed telecommunications experience. All staff and systems have transferred as part of the purchase.

ADComms has, over many years, built an unrivalled reputation for delivering complex telecommunications solutions in time and safety critical environments, to an exceptional standard and across all aspects of the UK rail network.

Building on this reputation, the company is adding additional skills to enable it to expand its end-to-end offering to customers within the UK Rail sector. ADComms will continue to deliver first class solutions on the GSM-R roll-out, and will also increase its capability within signalling and synergy schemes. As the company develops it will also look at arising opportunities in the wider transportation and MNO sectors.

Tony Greaves, founder of Core Communications commented

“ADComms is an excellent business that has, over many years, built a first class reputation with its customers. I have been particularly impressed by the ADComms team, who have great technical skills, extensive experience, and who really go the extra mile in order to delight their customers. The company has continued to deliver to the highest standards in recent years, despite problems faced by its parent in some of its overseas Cellular markets. Now with a strong financial foundation, a new management team, and renewed focus, it’s our intention is to build ADComms into the default provider of telecoms solutions on the UK rail network”.
